The other day I got my HP-1 mount in the mail. I was originally using the universal ram mount until the HP-1 came in. I could have mounted the HP-1 mount directly to the Proclip but I decided to use the Proclip swivel attachment this way I can angle the HP-1 for best viewing angle. This also lets me or my passengers operate the HP-1 from the passenger’s seat.
For your info the holes on the Proclip do line up with the Proclip base and swivel attachment. The swivel assemble does come with complete hardware for attaching to the base and the mount. I decided to use some of the hardware that came with my universal ram mount just for added security. It was slightly larger. I also drilled a hole in the center of the HP-1 mount so I could adjust the tension screw for the swivel.
I will post a pic of the Hp-1 mounted tomorrow seeing I left it in my locker at work tonight. The one thing I want to check for is if the HP-1 sticks out too far with me using the swivel attachment. I may mount it flush on the Proclip another time but if the viewing angle is poor, the swivel is a must. Hope this gives some of you ideas.
