Homepatrol Virtual Control

I am running the Arc software for the HP-1 on windows parallels for my macbook. When I try to run the virtual control, it will not allow me to select a com port therefore not allowing me to use virtual control...Any suggestions?

I have another question if you don't mind, I programmed the radio via RR database import. When I scan the PL/DPL is not working it. It seems like it is in search mode. How can I fix this. When I look at my programming everything is in there for tone information. Is there a way to shut off tone search?
