Another user had posted an issue monitoring the Grundy County Public Safety rebanded system Grundy County Public Safety Trunking System, Grundy County, Illinois - Scanner Frequencies and in looking at the band plan from Sentinel, I don't see anything regarding the fact that the system uses a negative polarity/shuffled band plan. UPMan, is this an issue with Sentinel, or the data that it pulls from RR?

When I was up there a couple weeks ago, I had to avoid the entire system, because I got what sounded like a control channel on several talk groups. It only occurred when the talk groups were active, and I did not get a recording to post.

From this thread:

http://forums.radioreference.com/un...den-scanners-motorola-shuffled-band-plan.html

I gathered that the "Shuffled Bandplan" should look like this:

Grundy County Public Safety Bandplan Setup:

Bandplan1: Base Lower - 851.0125, Base Upper - 854.000, Step-25, Offset-319, POL"-"
Bandplan2: Base Lower - 851.0125, Base Upper - 868.9875, Step-12.5, Offset-559, POL"-"
Bandplan3: Base Lower - 851.025, Base Upper - 868.9875, Step-25, Offset-759, POL"-"
(So long as you L/O the control channel that you will initially hear, the system "should" operate correctly but this is UNCONFIRMED) The "Base Upper" freqs above, are mentioned no where in the wiki.

It does irk me that the database reads what you have posted in your image, when using Sentinel. GRECOMs EZScan also interprets whats in the database completely different than what it should actually be in this system.

I would just like confirmation from UPMan that the above setup can be confirmed as correct AND would also like to see if a admin who has access to the database can see if the the tables from the wiki for Grundy County (Grundy County Public Safety - The RadioReference Wiki) can be put into the database correctly for both Sentinel (the table in the Wiki for Sentinel, at this time, is incorrect) AND GREs EZScan (the table in the Wiki for GRE radios is correct).

I'm not sure how to lock out the control channel noise with the HP-1. Have you managed to Jake?

I'm everywhere Focker!
Interesting that no one has complained before???

But I just checked and you're right, Sentinel has the wrong bandplan.

You can manually correct the bandplan until/if/when the issue with Sentinel/RR is resolved.

While the unit is in scan and on the CC, touch the arrow on the right of the screen ON THE BOTTOM LINE and select AVOID, then PERMANENT.

Thats what I did. It "seems" to be working properly, but again we have no confirmation.
