That narrows it nicely to excise police. Now just need to lock it to statewide or regional tac.

56 Alcohol Beverage Excise Police

Listened to these two, same units/RIDs, scope out another business, again on unknown TG 10374. Traffic was only on the Marion (Grant Co) tower, which is ISP District 16 (Peru), however, I believe these Excise units are from District 22 (Fort Wayne). From recent, and previous radio traffic, the unknown Excise unit lives well within D22; and if 56-229's unit number is any indication (56)-(22)(9) I'd say he's from D22 as well.

The only time I hear this TG is from these 2 units, so this may be a D22 Excise, or ISP Region 2 (D16/D22) Excise TG. I would think there would be more traffic on this TG if it was a state-wide, or north zone TG. The overall demeanor of the radio traffic is very nonchalant, plain language, as if it's a semi-private TG.

Yeah I have noticed the same type of talking styles on the Gaming folks, and the Environmental Protection folks. The Excise and Gaming guys are not going to be busy TG's unless they are doing inspections, or have an investigation going. They are also rarely in serious events on their own. Big raids are usually joint ops. But as to how we have the TG's listed, that is from the original IPSC P25 Starter Codeplugs. On a related note, ISP SCP are trying to recruit dispatchers as well as more troopers, so if they can get a few folks trained for dispatch, they look to be reopening the State Capitol Police Dispatch Center and moving off of the D52 TG again.

Apparently during the band opening/ducting Sunday morning, I logged (on UT) sites, or peers of sites: (1)092, and (1)096. Neither of which are listed in the DB. Any idea where these sites are located?

I just heard/saw several Allen county radios (210xxx, 211xxx, 212xxx) on an unknown encrypted 12785 TG, while listening to the Huntington site.

12785 is a pretty active allen county encrypted talkgroup. I first logged them back in 2018 and it's full time E.

Special Ops Task Force. Drugs or warrants or fugitives, or high profile crimes type ops. Indiana has several regional joint task forces.

Not sure on that one. Probably same reason Marion county never completely got all it's at 49... Lot of leftovers 79xxxx etc. Maybe when they get completely done with our upgrades and replacements they will fix it? Doubtful but maybe?
