I've found 3 unlisted talk groups on site 01 and site 08... 12720 I heard on 08 ( Porter County) might been on both I didn't write down.. 10376 on site 01 (lake county) and 10251 on site 01 mostly then couple times on 08, I believe (10251) it was Marshalls, they were getting ready to arrest a subject in Gary... All were unencrypted from what I heard.

That is kind of a pointless task. RIDs change every time a dept or county gets a radio grant, gets new vehicles, or buys radios; and currently, with IPSC asking counties to purge XTS/XTL radios and add P25P2 radios a RID master list would be ever changing even more. About the only RIDs that don't change every year or two are dispatch consoles.

Yep, I've found this out the hard way. I used to use Proscan to try & identify every RID & gave up after I realized all that work was for nothing eventually. I now focus on the local guys & that's still a LOT of work to keep accurate...

Is the radio ID affiliated with the officers badge? That is the method the Illinois State Police Radio ID's use and is easier to accurately document.

No.

SAFE-T RIDs for individual counties for portable and mobile radios start at, and are in the format of: (county number)(10)(000).

Technically it could be: (county number)(10000), its the same either way.

For example, RID: 2710436 is (27)(10)(436) and/or (27)(10436)... it's the same number either way but I think it's more manageable to think of it as (27)(10)(436)

County number 27 is Grant county, so that would be a Grant county RID.

Indiana has 92 counties, so state agency RIDs use (93)(10)(000) and up.

Completely agree, The portables I gave up on and just know what department they are used for but the Mobiles, especially for fire stay pretty consistent. If you are willing to share I would love your local guys ids. Recently my area is mostly APX phasing out the majority of XTS/XTLs keeping everything consistent with the occasion officer change

It is also worth mentioning that counties in the north zone have a 1 after the county number, and counties in the south zone have a 2 after the county number. So, for instance, a Monroe County ID will always start with 532 and a Tipton County ID will always start with 801.

I did not know that. I checked my logs, and I see that now. Thanks for the correction.

Would you rather I get full county for sheriffs etc or just post as I get them and verify them? Is radio IDs different from there in car radios to there portables I thought I've noticed differences?

I'm getting ISP 14, ISP 13, Jasper County, Newton County, Porter County, Cedar Lake and Schereville PD, Pulaski County, White County, Benton County, Laporte County and all local Pds in these Counties, DNR North Region.. That is the IDs I will be getting.

Whatever works for your. Yes Portables and Mobiles will have different IDs. Each radio in the state; Mobile, Portable, Base, Consoles have their own ID issued by the state. If the same ID is being used on multiple radios it’s a programming error that could cause problems. Sounds Great I look forward to seeing them!

Anyone have RIDs in the 94103XX range logged?
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that area is North Region radios for INDOT and or Hoosier Helpers because one of the traffic centers is 94103. There not many of those IDs logged. In my area I got a bunch in the recent weather event they chattered all night. It just have them labeled as the districts truck because it hard to tell them apart. I will have to look but I think they were 9420XXX
