Hopkins Co. Switching To P25 or NXDN?

It has been known for a while that Hopkins Co is upgrading their radio system and I always heard it was going to be NXDN and even the database says something about NXDN at the bottom of the page but today in the paper it says the county has just got its loan for the P25 radio upgrade and on local news they was talking about P25.. So does anyone know for sure what is going on?

yeah I hope it is right.. I would hate for my county to go NXDN.. It makes more since really since KSP is P25

Well I talked to someone in the know and they told me that Hopkins Co is not going to NXDN due to last changes made by homeland sec to only grant funds to P25 upgrades.. He says at this point the county as a whole will switch over by march 2012.. He said local PD's like this option better due to being able to have direct contact with KSP units..

Do you have any info on when they plan on switching over? I heard around march but that could be 100% false.
