I notice Houma PD is now on 868.38750. Is this an analog or encryped frequency. While monitoring them earlier, when they key up all I hear is some type of digital transmission. For some odd reason I cannot monitor voice transmissions.

i was hearing them loud and clear in analog mode last night friday oct. 27 2006...haven't monitored this morning though..but i have noticed in the last week that their patrol cars now have the pig tail antennas on their roofs.

Pig tail is characteristic of 700/800/900 MHz ops... though here in Buncombe County, NC, the SO has a few unmarked cars with "Lookalike" 800 MHz pigtail style ants that run VHF High..... And concerning the digital sounds.... could be encryption....
