    We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

    If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

as of this morning friday august 25th 2006 houma police is now broadcasting on 868.3875 the only traffic i hear on their old freq. 155.190 is car to car occasionally

Umm You might have mistyped that freq... could it be 868.8375???? Nevermind.. the only listed for that is Caddo Parish TRS... hmmm.. Any further info would be helpful.

That is an interesting find...
Did you notice that the frequency is licensed to Point Couppe? I mention that, because Site #6 on the JPSO system is carrying a CCh that is licensed to Point Couppe. I don't think that TRS in Point Couppe ever really got going so ...

You haven't found a new CCh in the area have you? :D
