I haven't turned on my radio in quite some time. I used to pick up HPD, HFD, HCSO, and HCCO regularly. Now, I haven't heard a single thing out of HPD nor HFD. Radio is in use in the same exact location as before.

How long is quite some time? If you are wanting to listen to any of those within the city of Houston, you will be listening to a simulcast cell which for the most part will require a Uniden SDS100/200 or a Unication G5. The older P25 scanners even if they do Phase 2 won’t handle the simulcast very well if at all.

At least a couple of months. I am trying on both an SDS100 and an APX8000. Both used to pick up signals fine.
