Houston FD

I live in Kerrville, TX and monitor the Houston FD on 453.425 mhz. The last few days I have not been able to hear any activity on the channel. My antennas seem ok as well as my preamp and receiver. Have they swithed frequencies?

Can you usually pick them up well in Kerrville?, I know when skip is good I can pick them up here in San Antonio but I don't have a really good antenna setup. Do you listen to them everyday or does it come in for a few and then silence

Thanks for the info. I can hear Houston HFD about 60% of the time in Kerrville. I use a MaxRad 12 element Yagi at 70 feet fed with LMR 400. Our elevation is about 1850 feet. Rcvr. is mostly ICOM. For HFD I use a R7000 with external preamp. Still haven't heard Robo Dispatcher for several days. Perhaps the skip will change (tropo). Thanks again.
