how can i tell if a freq is trunk or fm

I am new to scanning, and i understadn what trunking is and how it works, but what i dont understand is freqs, and hot to tell if they are trunking. I have a pro 97 and am beginning to program it. here are some of the frequencys:

45.180 Ohio Highway Patrol - Walbridge Post
460.125 Northwood Police
460.325 Rossford Police Department - dispatched by Lake Township
460.200 Lake Township and Walbridge Police
460.300 Perrysburg Police Department
173.035 Perrysburg Police - talkaround
154.175 Perrysburg Fire Department - new repeater frequency

when i program them in. do i program it in as trunk or as regular fm? It doesnt specify on the website that i got these freq from.... Also, if i just scan trunk freqs, and dont program them in a trunk, will my scanner pick them up??? Im sorta confused, any help would be great. Thanks.

These are all conventional frequencies, not trunked. FYI, the Walbridge post (like most state agencies) is switching to the Ohio MARCS systems, an 800 MHz digital trunked system that your scanner can't handle.

Check the database here on RR and it will list trunked systems and conventional systems separate.

here is my database: http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&ctid=2087 and everything is fm, so that means that non are truncked correct? does apco-25 mean trunked??? Also, do i have to input tones when programming my scanner? Ive tried searching but nothing came back on this... any help would be appreciated

Trunked systems are listed separately, so you program the frequencies listed as FM in FM, PL, or DPL (DL) mode in your scanner. Depending on the make and model of your scanner, the options may vary. PL and DPL are squelch tones/codes used so an agency cannot hear another agency using the same frequency (helpful during skip and tropospheric ducting). APCO-25 is digital modulation. It can be encrypted or non-encrypted. You can only listen to non-encrypted APCO-25. To listen to APCO-25, you'll need a digital scanner, such as the PRO-(20)96.

If you look on your database page, the area labeled "All Trunked Radio Systems in Lucas County" would be the systems that you would need to put in your scanner as trunked frequencies.

The areas below that (i.e., the Law Enforcement area) would need to be entered as conventional or non-trunked. APCO-25 doesn't mean trunked, unless it is listed in an area for a trunked system.
