How do I change DSP/CPU in 1080

I have a PRO-18/1080 running 4.5 and 2.3
I want to put on 3.0 (NOT 3.1) how do I do that.
I have several other scanners that are on 3.0 now.
Is there a way to get that file over, and how do I do it. EZ Scan only will upgrade to 3.1, not doing that.

You should be able to use the GREFwTool that we were using a while back to hack these scanners.

X2 on using the tool if you just have to keep living dangerously. Another X2 on just send it in, it's money well spent. $60 to give that scanner a new lease on life is cheap for what you get.

You really should send it in for the upgrade, Otherwise you will have to find those hoarders that have what you need and take the gamble they send you the right stuff and not the wrong files that will lock your scanner and force you to send it in and pay more to get it fixed then if you just sent in now.
