mike, thanks. Yes I can get to my account, but there is no option to change the e-mail address?

@WaveyDipole I was able to just delete the email address that was on that account page and replace with my new one, and hit the save changes button and it worked. Have you tried that. There isn't a button or link for "changing email address", just delete the old one, enter new one and save.

For me the e-mail address is non-editable. It is not shown in an editable field but as a display only item. Maybe admins can edit it, but I don't seem to have that permission. I am looking at Account Details | Email:. Even these messages I am positing now seem to require administrator approval.

You were on moderation because prior to yesterday you haven't been on Radio Reference for 3 years. For security reasons anyone that hasn't logged in for 2 years as of January of 2023 was put on moderation. Once they return and we see they aren't posting spam the moderation is removed.

Thank you for that support e-mail address which I have now e-mailed. Incidentally, how would I have known to do that had you not posted it? There is nothing accessible under Contact Us and I see no mention of this address anywhere on the site? However, I appreciate your help.

Thank you for the info. Sounds rather unwelcoming for someone wanting to return. Still, I dare say, these days such steps are unfortunately sometimes necessary.

Sorry, yes, it was there. I missed it when I looked at that earlier in the day.

Incidentally I just got an automated e-mail back from support with a link to Zendesk that requires another login......
My RadioReference login does not work there so I tried submitting my e-mail address using the 'Get a password' link but have not received an e-mail with instructions as indicated. How complex does it have to be to get help from an admin on this forum!!!!!!
BTW, the last thing I want when looking for help is another signup process and another login and password to remember!
o_O
Lets hope someone gets back to me via e-mail.
Or perhaps might it be easier to ask an admin to delete the account and be done with it?

By the way, your description of the "display only fields" sounds like you did not follow the link @mikewazowski posted earlier, but instead went to the Account Details page in the forums. Make sure you're paying attention to the instructions being given here.

GTR800, thanks. Its only certain fields, i.e. my username and e-mail address. The remaining fields on the form such as location, DOB, website etc are editable.

I have been using Chrome on this computer, but just tried Firefox on another one. Got the same result, so it does seem to be my account permissions. KevinC mentioned that my account was on moderation, so maybe that has something to do with it? Then again, my last couple of posts have appeared immediately without the 'must be reviewed by admin' message so presumably the moderation has been removed so that would not explain it.

Just tied the 'Get a password' link again on that Zendesk page. Still no e-mail. Maybe there is a delay so will have another look later to see whether anything has arrived.

You are still not paying attention to the links that were posted, and are still looking at your FORUM account details. Instead of complaining, try following the link that was posted twice. There are no DOB or Website fields on the proper page.

Your description sounds like you are in the wrong place, my page where I can edit email does not have DOB or website. Check the links provided you above and try again.

Thanks for that. I didn't actually read that as a link but was assuming it was referring to the 'Account details' on the menu that pops up when I click my username on the menu bar. That is on THIS page at the top right.
Having just clicked that link as you suggested, I see it takes my to another RadioReference login page. I tried to login in with my usual credentials only for it to be rejected as invalid. Do I have to sign up and create another account on there?

Your Radio Reference account and Forums account password are the same, go to Radio Reference and log in, then click on your user name at the top (NOT FORUMS, RADIO REFERENCE)

RaleighGuy, thank you. As far as I know, I have only a forum login as that is the only reference in my password manager. I tried what you just suggested, but I cannot log in to the RadioReference (not forum) site with my existing credentials. I get a message back saying "invalid Login or Password. Please Try Again.". My credentials work only on this forum. I don't believe that I have ever signed up on there (or the Zendesk) before, although I first registered on this forum a rather long time ago.

I have just tried signing up for a new account on RadioReference but it tells me that the account name is already in use so it seems that I can neither sign in or create a new account there. Not quite sure what to do next?

I'm pretty sure you can't fix this. A lot changed since you last visited and without logging in for years I'm guessing your forums login, RR main login and RR database logins are out of sync.

I'd suggest an email to support@radioreference.com and explaining your issue.

I suppose you could just signup again and I can merge the accounts into the new one. That's as far as my capabilities go, anything else needs to be handled via the support email.

KevinC, out of sync accounts would explain what is happening. I e-mailed support earlier and got a link to the RadioRefrerence ZendDesk site, to which I also can't log in, so I am relying on any updates to the case being received by e-mail. Unfortunately, when I tried to sign up for an account, I wasn't getting the instruction e-mail. I have checked my SPAM folder just in case. My ISP has a filter mechanism where I can whitelist or blacklist e-mail addresses. I just had the idea to try whitelisting the radioreference.com domain and then try the setting up a password link on ZenDesk again to see whether I then get the e-mail.
