I'm trying to find the frequencies used by the Consumers Energy TRS (http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=1579). I was wondering how I would go about doing this with my BCD996T.

To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:
Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.
To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.
The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Now look @ where the frequencies are listed. You see those numbers that look like this 01, 02, 03, 04, etc.? Each frequency should have one right before the frequency itself. Those are the L.C.N.s.
Since this is a Multi-Site Trunked Radio System; each site will have its own set of L.C.N.s.
Program in all the frequencies for site or al lthe frequencies for different sites and yo ushould be good to go.
Unlike a Motorola Trunked Radio system; you will need to program in ALL the frequencies for each site and NOT just the Control frequencies! I am NOT sure what radio scanner you have but if it is an older one like the Pro-92B then you would need to program in each site in its OWN SEPERATE BANK.

Well there were some places where it has N/A as the frequency. I thought that a frequency is supposed to go there and it was maybe unknown.

Also please remember that you will NOT be able to listen to the PROVOICE Talk Groups because even if you had a P-25 Digital capable radio scanner, Provoice is NOT P-25 Compliant. I am NOT sure how these Talk Groups work on this system but some could be SITE Specific while others could be SYSTEM WIDE. So you may NOT hear all the Talk Groups from where you are at.
