I submitted a change to RR for an error in our county truncking system data. I have been notified that the corrections have been made, and I can manually browse the online database and confirm that it was done. When I attempt to use Sentinel to update the master database, it refuses, saying it is still the current version. I really need to force a refresh to get the valid data to my scanner, as it depends on the master database to do so. How can I /force it to update to current data?

Sentinel does not pull the database updates directly from the RR database. Uniden's automated servers pull the database info once per week from Radio Reference late on Sunday evenings (barring occasional glitches), and format it for use by the database scanners Then Uniden's servers make it available Monday through Sentinel.

You can not directly access the Radio Reference database through Sentinel. Proscan can access the RR database if you are a premium member of RR.

The site in your county (Jackson) was updated yesterday, 08/03, so it is not in the current database that you see in Sentinel.

As already noted above, Uniden will pull the updated information from the RR database this coming Sunday, and that updated version should be available by mid-day Monday, unless there some sort of system issue. (While that is not common, it does happen occasionally.)

If you've never installed ProScan previously, you get 30 days of a fully functional free trial period. It's worth every penny of the $50 license, but giving it a 30 day trial run is a no-brainer, especially if you're in that much of a hurry to update the scanner and can't do it manually using Sentinel, for whatever reason.
