How do i get my pro-164 to trunk ?

I dont have the cable to hook it to the computer yet,so i was wondering if someone could provide a link or what have you that explains it alot more clearly than the manual does.Also,what does trunking pick up ? If anyone could just provide a link to 1 or more things i dont mind the reading

I have the PRO 164. Determine which bank you want to enter the frequencies and hit the M (manual) button when the scanner hits that bank. Select the channel you want to program the frequency in with the up/down buttons. Once you get to the desired channel hit the P (program button). Enter the frequency including the decimal using the number keys, then hit the ENT button. Next you hit the mode button until you get to the proper mode for what you want to monitor, (Mot, ED, FM etc.) then hit enter again. If it is a trunknig system (you are still in program mode) hit the T (trunking) button and the enter button again. This is a lot easier with the BUTEL software. Radio Shack has the programming cable.
