How do I look up the freq to see what it is?

I have a question, When I am using the search function on my pro-96 and it locks on a freq where there's activity, how do I look up the freq to see what it is? Thank you

FCC Web Site Freq look up

I always use the FCC database below, however sometimes a frequency user does not show up in the database for various reasons so its not cast in stone.

I like to use the RRDATABASE at the top of thispage. It is easier to work with than the FCC site.

Whereas I agree starting with the DB here on RadioReference is the quickest way usually, sometimes you have to go the FCC database. And when you do need to use the FCC database, you should probably use the ULS search page as it much easier to use then the old General one referenced above. The advanced ULS search engine can be linked from here, and will allow geographical searches based on coverage area instead of just license assignment.
