Newb here, using SDR++ for a few days now. How do I shrink the upper window so it shows more of the frequency range? I've played with the zoom level, but it won't get smaller... When I installed the program, you could see a much larger portion of the spectrum with the colored "chunks" at the bottom of it, showing the various subdivisions (for example, FM Broadcast, XYZ Ham band)... Not the waterfall area but the one directly above it. I can't for the life of me figure out how to make it bigger or smaller.sdr++ window.jpg

Out of range
Firstly, click the stop button. Then under sources, pick a radio receiver if you are using one. Then the settings for the radio will be adjustable. And ninja-poster slicerwizard just got to the part I was gonna say make it as big as your hardware will allow.

It wasn't working when I clicked on the RTL SDR input, so I picked Audio and it's 48khz now.

Zoom out. You can also drag and resize any of the windows and put them where you want. I think the spectrum and waterfall are fixed except vertical size.
In the menu (upper left bars) open that. All the sub windows labeled FFT, you can select any/all that display on your screen. The pin is handy for keeping windows you want fixed. Play with it, you won't break anything.
The range displayed in the spectrum is up to your dongle, like RSP1 will span 6+ MHz, and some others that do DVB-T.
My airspy only spans 600 KHz, my Noo SmarT spans 2 MHz.
