After doing a master reset to my 536 I began the process of writing my various selected Favorites List files each of which I want to scan or have to option not to scan. Somehow after writing my second FL, I did something of which I was unaware that activated the %#$U& Custom Search for 0-9 of 10,000 individual frequencies scanning in endless 0-9 Custom Search loops. I want to stop them, deactivate them or permanently avoid all of the 0-9 Custom Scans without any action I take that will adversely impact my writing more newly selected Favorites lists or those already written so far, i. e., FL1, F2, etc.

PLEASE,PLEASE, PLEASE
, DO NOT REFER ME TO THE USER MANUAL PAGES. I have read the related sections at least 10 times and did not find any specific info of what actions I should take to get rid of the 0-9 Custom Search files which keep looping around after my last selected FL scanning cycle finishes.

I need a step by step action entries posted, I assume after first selecting "Menu"??? or other appropriate beginning action step and subsequent appropriate action steps and/or sub-sections are required. Do not assume I know all the steps required. I don't. I don't just push buttons to see what happens.

I could not locate any such user menu selection option in the 536. I don't want to continue load my FLs and also have to until the 0-9 @#$%$ frequencies cycle again.

At least my ARC996XLT scanner has a sub-section I can access by drilling down to "Custom Searches 0-9 " sub-link where I can select "NO".

I would like permanently delete(avoid) them. I don't want to continue writing my FLs and also have to try to skip those @#$%$ Custom Search 0-9 frequencies cycle again.

What did I do wrong and again what step by step entries do I have to enter to stop them from searching and not display when writing a new FL file or a previous written when searching my already written FLs?

Any step by step help appreciated.

John::mad: hoping for a :)

Search With Scan is also an item directly under "Full Database" in your scanner menu:

Set Scan Selection \ Select Lists To Monitor

It's also referenced in the manual under "Search With Scan" in several places...
