How do I scroll text tags on rr feed

I see some people doing it so how is it done?
I can run text tags off my own server using Oddcast and Steamcast and Metadata Generator but cant get it to work with my rr feed. Any help would be appreciated.I assume I have to relay the feed via Steamcast.....

You can either relay the feed through Steamcast or you can eliminate Steamcast and use Gordon's TalkGroup Monitor program instead of Metadata Generator. Then you can send the tags directly to RR's Icecast server.

It is still not sending the tags
I have it set up ...question what user name do I use in the monitor.cfg ICECAST_USERNAME just leave it as admin??
ICECAST_RESPONSE=HTTP/1.0 200 OK is showing not received what does this mean if anything....Thanks for your help

May want to PM Gordon on the user name issue. I use Simplecast, so the tags are embedded in the encoder before it goes to the RR server.

I can't speak for him, but would assume that since he wrote the software and hosted a large icecast server at scanamerica that this issue has been addressed and dealt with.

I am having the same problem. My BCT15 is communicating with Talkgroup Monitor through com port, and can see Talkgroups from my list, but tags are not showing up in Winamp. The only thing I could not complete was the username.
I saw "showing not received" in the monitor.exe window while my stream was idle. When I started the stream it stopped displaying it. Not sure if that was the remedy, but that's what I observed through my many trial and errors. Still not getting any tags on Winamp.

As you have a BCT15, you might want to use ScannerCast instead. It's a free utility that is simple to set-up and the tags will be automatically sent to the RR server. The BCT15 is supported with ScannerCast. Give it a try!
