Did you buy it straight from uniden? they key will be given after payment was processed.
Go to email and find the email from uniden with the key. You might have 2 from them. 1 will be the payment the 2nd will be the key

Take that key and go to 'menu > upgrade > dmr' and enter that key. You don't do anything after that. Start a search, or import known DMR stuff and start listening.

Did you have a need for the DMR upgrade? (I know some will get all 3 upgrades regardless of if they have a need for it or not. The reasoning behind this runs from “I might travel with the scanner” to “I can get a better price for the scanner should I ever sell it.” Personally, I waited until the need arose before I bought an upgrade.)
If setting the scanner up after you made the purchase is what you are asking for, Reconrider has that covered. But if you are asking how to program a DMR frequency/system then you must have an agency/ham repeater in mind. Not many public safety agencies run DMR but there are some towns/cities that utilize it for schools, buses, public works, etc. which are listed in RadioReference.com. The easiest way to program DMR is by using the Sentinel software or aftermarket software where you can download into the software and then into the scanner. But the DMR system/repeater must first be listed/available in RR. If you are attempting to load an unlisted DMR freq/system manually, good luck... you need the settings for that. You could take a “like” system that IS listed in RR and simply change the frequencie(s) and talk-groups but there are other parameters such as color codes, that might also need changing, in which case, if you don’t know them, you could try changing one parameter at a time, or combinations and monitor for activity. But that’s very time consuming and failure is usually the outcome. I am sure there are others here who will post easier methods of programming manually, or possibly someone who already has a FL that works.
Bottom line, if you want to listen to a specific DMR entity, get the DMR upgrade... if not, don’t waste your money. You have not stated which case applies to you.

You have to enter the key in the scanner via the upgrade menu.

Ok on all. Do you know if the business is listed in Radioreference? If so, tell us what county and state the business is in along with the name of the business. With that there are people here who can help. If the DMR system is not listed in RR you are looking for how to program manually. And again, people here can help-it just won’t be me...

Before you write your favorites list to the scanner, be sure the appropriate service types are enabled and check the profile editor in Sentinel and be sure "monitor" and "download" are both "on" for that favorites list.

Service types are only applicable if the info is known to the RR database & if it is, the service type(s) to enable would be in the "tag" column of the DB. Info the OP provided looks like only an FCC callsign export & I'm not seeing it identified anywhere in the DB. Only the frequencies in the export designated with code "FB" or "FB2" would be monitorable off premises (not mobile only) IF the traffic isn't encrypted that is!

Are the work radios encrypted? If so, the scanner isn't going to be able to decode intelligible audio. All you're going to hear is the gargle farts.
