How do we get Lakewood?

We are newcomers to the scanner world, and need some help. We had been monitoring Lakewood, where my wife volunteers with the police department, until they went to ESK. We have just bought a GRE PSR-500 scanner, which we were told would receive ESK, and it was preprogrammed by ScannerMaster. We are getting Lakewood signals, but they are not consistent. We don't know how to set up the scanner, and the instructions are confusing to us. We would appreciate it if someone in our area (Arvada) could meet with us. Thanks.

If you send me an e-mail, I'd be happy to send you my .p500 file from win500 (www.starrsoft.com) that you can upload to your radio. I listen to Lakewood pretty much exclusively on my 500, but it's programmed for the rest of the metro area as well.
