thanks to the guy who replied to my prevouse post. I do have a beam but i do keep it toward the london post due to the fact if i dont i get hammered with bad interferrence from london post. especially when harlan post transmitts and london post comes in with them. i quess its called bleed over. I have tried Attenuator but even without it London post only shows under 1 on signal meter and with att it shows nothing but i still get effects me.

i fail to understand . If no ctts tone is used for ksp how does it work. for instance i live in harlan ky and hear harlan post and london post on 460.2375. if i dont put antenna pointing to london i get a lot of squelch sounds and interderance. so if it kills me how does a trooper in the next county say knox handle hearing harlan post and london post. how does a harlan trooper call harlan post and london not answer.because they say for example 977 to harlan so quick you really have to pay attention. How can i eliminate hearing london post and the interference attenuator does not work either. thanks andrew harlan ky.

Hi Andrew:
Given the way KSP's system is set up the Harlan Post Trooper won't hear the London Post Trooper... although the Database doesn't indicate whether 460.2375 is a "B" (Dispatch) or "A" (Alternate) freq for Harlan or London, I have it listed as a "B" freq for London Post.... either way the road Troopers aren't going to receive as well as you will because they aren't using beams and there is a county between them. I use the PRO 96 and I must be in "FM" mode instead of "CT" in order for the scanner to decode the APCO-25....
If you can you might try to aim the beam further south since the Mt. Victory tower (where the Post 11 tx is located in Pulaski County) is to your west by north roughly.... you might also try to enter the frequency as 460.23125 if your scanner will take it and see if you can hear Harlan but not London....
