As posted above, I am wondering how the Uniden SDS100 deals with data on a Motorola Capacity Plus system. For example, say you are an end user on a commercial for profit MOTO TRBO Capacity Plus system. Can your transceiver be configured to send your GPS data at regular intervals so your dispatchers knows where you are?

Does Uniden display that as a unique Talkgroup or are Talkgroups only for voice traffic and the GPS data sent on the "Beacon" or rest channel?

What about short text messages on Capacity Plus systems? Do they come across their own Talkgroup?

The scanner is looking for voice traffic, That's what it's designed for. It will ignore the other data AFAIK.
You can program those data only TG's into the radio but it will not likely stop on them unless they carry voice. (Or it thinks it's voice, likely caused by poor decode)

The transciver sends regular GPS updates and it has to address those somewhere, either a TG or an individual user ID.
Scanners are only programmed to receive and decode voice traffic and will ignore text and GPS messages.
You can see and decode those with the DSD+ software and also plot the positions on a map with the included LRRP program in DSD+
