It all depends on the volume of applications received. On slow weeks turn around
can be very fast, and if a zillion people pass the test next week, it will be much
longer...... Congrats to all of you for getting your license...

It depends....

The FCC is all computer processed. If they receive it,the FCC updates 24/7 except weekends. No delays.

The only delays are VE based. If you test via Laurel, W5YI or a group thet processes on site, via computer, you could have your call by the time you leave the test area.

ARRL VEC still is paper based, which means they have to mail it to the ARRL, who then keys it into a computer for upload to the FCC. Depending on the mail delays and staff load for ARRL, you could see delays.

Took my test in the summer of 13 during the long government shutdown, had to wait a month for mine, just elmered a ham into his ticket and was about 5 days.

Wait time seems to be running about a week right now. My wife, now KE0GIC, took her test on a Thursday night and her call hit the ULS overnight the following Thursday, so she got her call, made her first DX contact and became an ARRL Life Member all within 12 hours.

I ran a testing session Saturday evening (11/7/15) for 18 candidates. Yesterday, I scanned all the paperwork and forwarded the file to our VEC via e-mail. All the new call signs were in the FCC ULS this morning at 8:00 AM.
