I wanted to get an idea of number of antennas used by people on here, and try a poll broadcast antennas don't count. This poll is for fixed base (mounted outside)

I use four antennas 1 for the scanner, one for 2 meters, one for weather radio, and one for low band/hf stuff.

Base, mobile, all scanners?

The poll is not clear. I have only one outside base antenna, but use rubber duckies on some scanners even inside the house. I also have a separate antenna on my truck and actually use a mag mag inside the house too.

Base first the mobile poll is in the works, fixed base on this poll, (mounted outside)
Sorry about that

I'd agree the poll is not exactly clear. I have no base antennas, but on my truck I have 2 permanent antennas and one mag-mount. I also have 3 handhelds, so I guess that means I have a total of 6 antennas although they usually aren't all with me. Then there is my car which doesn't have any antennas on it yet but will probably be getting one or maybe two.

EDIT: I guess this post is now not relevant based on the previous reply.

Base antenna poll......

Ok,

Should I include my ham radio, CB, short-wave, long-wave, etc antennas in the poll? Do you want
them broken down into vertical/horizontal? Wire/tubing? ground plane, yagi, quad, J-pole, collinear,
etc.?

Enquireing Mimes want to know, LOL! Who reads and believes that stuff....Robin divorcing Dr. "Pill",
really, Who cares? LOL!

245' long-wire for long-wave
75 meter Double Bazooka in "Inverted V"
3 element CB yagi
Converted Hyy-Gain CLR-II 5/8ths collinear for 10 AM
4' top-loaded fiberglass CB whip for 10 and 6 meter FM
6 meter Quad for ssb
2 meter/70 cm J-pole for FM
25', wooden, long-boom quad for 2 FM
3 element horizontal quad for 2 meter ssb
70 cm long-boom quad for FM
150-174 mc "Slim Jim" vertical (www.hamuniverse.com) for vhf comms
450-512 mcs Groundplane for uhf comms.

Plans for additional antennas for various bands. ;-)

Respectfully,
73,
Don/KA5LQJ

I live in an apartment so i can only have my base antennas in the bedroom can that count? Or what i use when i live in an house. When I lived in a house i had my scantenna up, a 2 meter ringo ranger 2, and my homebuilt scanner beam made out of a modified TV antenna. I can't wait to get another house so i can put those back up.

This poll would be unfair to me if those don't count because i can't help it i can't put them outside because it's against the lease.

OK allowed in apartments or where restrictions apply, you can't count handheld antennas attached to the radio however.

I feel so inadequate. :) One RS 20-176 ground plane and one trapped long wire for shortwave.
