I'm in southwest Dallas. Scanning: Dallas Fire & PD; Dallas SO; just about all of the Dallas County suburbs that are on conventional systems. Also the Carrolton, Denton County, Garland, Irving, Lewisville, Mesquite, NE Tarrant County, Grand Prairie, Arlington, & Dallas local govt trunked systems. Don't get consistent reception on Richardson system; terrain & signal strength. Fort Worth is also currently out of range unless a different outside antenna makes a difference; that will have to wait a while. Also monitor: Careflite; TxDPS; Dart PD; railroads; news media & traffic helos; Ellis, Johnson, & Kaufman County cities on conventional frequencies. Have a few others, like Plano, programmed for when I'm across town & within listening range. Occasionally, I visit friends out in Stephens County & have cofigurations set up for both enroute & at that area for my BC246T & BCD396D. Using several other scanners in addition to those two.

I live in south Irving. I scan IPD/IFD, all of the denton countys and all of Tarrent county, and Dallas county's. I do not listen to Ft. Worth or Dallas I do know like how they are set up and so cluttered in my opinon. Me and my friend are looking to try and redo there set up for our scanners.

I mostly scan Denton County, Lewisville, and Carrollton's trunked systems. Got Denton programmed for when I go up there.
On the conventional side, I monitor the few conventional channels here in Denton County, DPS, the media/traffic stuff, and occasionally open up Dallas PD and FD if there's not enough local action.
I also monitor quite a few different amateur repeaters, but don't talk much myself.

I live in McKinney and scan mostly the McKinney TRS. I also monitor Collin County, Plano TRS, and Dallas PS conventional freqs occasionaly. Once in a while, I'll listen to DENCO. DPS, Careflight, PHI AirMed are in the scanner, too.

Live in Denco work in Ft Worth and I scan the following. Denton city and Denco. When driving to work I will scan most municipalities along 35E. Once at work if time allows I scan Irving, NE Tarrant, Haltom, Arlington, Dallas conventional, and believe it or not can still get Denton County and city.

I am living in Dallas right off of university Blvd. Currently going to school at SMU. I was back home for the summer in New Orleans and picked up a Pro-96 to monitor local PD. Now that I am back up in dallas, it seems that my older Pro-95 would do the same locally since nobody (that I know of) is using digital. I currently monitor Dallas PD, University Park PD, and DFD. Any other suggestions on what I could monitor. I know there are more systems out there, just need some advice on what is good to monitor.

I live in Leonard so I monitor Fannin Co. and when I am at work in Allen I monitor Collin Co. Allen , Plano, McKinney and NTMWD I would like to monitor Dallas Fire but I cant remeber if they are on a trunked system or still on low band can anyone help?
