Here is my current set up, Dell 6000 Laptop running XP Home with one feed using the min in jack and using Windows Media Encoder and a hosting Co.

Now here is my question,

Can I run a second feed off the same computer or isn't this possible? I was looking at this item but I'm not sure if it would help me out or not?

Thanks in Advance!

A second feed of the same audio would be possible. A different audio feed would require an additional sound card. I have used the device in your link with fairly good results. Audio is very clear but not overly strong.

Forgot to mention it would be a different audio feed from a second scanner.

squadman,

I'm using the same exact Dell 6000 laptop (XP Pro) and Creative Labs USB SoundBlaster Live! 24-Bit External Sound Card that you mentioned above. I don't normally stream audio, but the external card is a great way to get extra audio inputs for recording with IDTracker or XCorder. It also works great for decoding with UniTrunker.

I've experimented with Windows Media Encoder like you're using and it allowed me to stream two separate scanners using a stereo stream with left and right channels. I'm not sure if you'd be able to stream two mono feeds, though.

As you know the Dell 6000 only has a mic in, no input jacks. Since the mic in is mono an external audio card is the easiest way to give you more recording options.
