I do, just wondering how many of you do. I love running two scanners at once. I have fire on one and police on the other. I'm not missing as much as i was when i only had a 2096.

I own both 96 and 2096. Use the the Win96 software exclusively to pgm the 96, then clone the 2096 which is mounted in my truck. The latest version of Win96 lets you download trunked info directly from RR right to a bank of your choice. Love it so much I haven't even read the manuals yet!

I do the same with using Win96 on the '96 and cloning the 2096.

Hello,

Count me in. The 96 and 2096 are nice additions to the shack. And Win96 makes it painless to own and operate.

I have both and love them equally. Best audio of all my scanners. The digital decode is the best.
I only wish Radio Shack/GRE would make their scanners computer controllable with decent third party software.

Both, and use the same as Dogears and Voyager. Thinking about getting a second 2096 for the RV. :)

I own both as well. The 2096 serves duty in my truck and in the house. It's the first scanner I've used in the truck that doesn't require an external speaker, and one of the best (if not THE best) sounding radios I've ever owned.

My only issue with both of these radios is one of apparent overload in the VHF-HI band area. Other than that they are outstanding additions to the collection. I'll throw in props as well for Don's software.

Pro-2096 and Pro-96

I own both here in Michigan. Still use the 96 in the car and the 2096 at home. Sure was nice having the V-folders and Win96 on a drive to Georgia last week.

I own both. I program the 96 with Win96 and then clone the 2096. The 2096 is my "house radio" and the 96 is used in the wife's car and my pickup. BTW, I feed the 2096 into a low power FM transmitter which allows me access to it's output in any room in the house or my workshop in the back yard. All I need is a standard FM radio. The low power FM transmitter does not carry much past my property line. Works great.
