At home I keep three on. The 396T with conventional and a couple trunks in priority mode with WX SAME Scan, the Pro 97 with another set of trunks and the AOR8200 MKIIB for the conventional (non-priority, so I can keep up with those comms) and HF/SW.

Out and about the 396T only with local systems only and close call.

You?

In the Car,
396t and Pro 96

at home, usually one but I just got a RS 800 mhz antenna and it seems to be working.

I will prolly set the Pro 95 up to listen to the 800mhz system a couple counties over and the 92b for stuff in my county..

1 when mobile. Three at desk, they all have the same basic layout, but this way i can stop one on pd, one on fire and keep scanning on the third when there is an important call.

2 scanners and 1 portable:

BC350C: Regional VHF Low and High frequencies such as Intercity Fire, various FDs, and state MEDNET.

Pro 83: Regional UHF and 800 conventional freqs, usually PDs, and some medical/fire tacticals.

HT750: My EMS duty radio, scans my local PD and my agency's dispatch frequency.

I seldom have more than 2 on. The 246T for the local trunked system and the Astro Saber for the conventional police dispaching.

If I'm in the car, it's one or the other.

I have seven running in my home. I have one set for different things.
pro 2096 is for Fort Wayne, Allen County, State, Indot
pro 2051 is all my fire
pro 2055-1 is for Auburn Pd EDACS
pro 2055-2 is for Air & City & County Uitiles
pro 2052 is for all police
I keep my pro 96 running in the background.
I have also programmed my pro 95 for just INDOT & A & E Power & Allen County Gov. I don't always catch stuff on those systems with ft wayne and the state.
Then I listen to one online.
I carry my pro 96 everywhere I go.

I am currently running six base units at my desk, total of 3000 channels. Of course not all the channels are filled, but most are.

Pro-2004 300
Pro-2021 (2) 400
Pro-2050 300
Pro-2055 1000
BC785D 1000

Also I have three handhelds with a total of 1220 channels.

Pro-97 1000
Pro-83 200
BC45XLT 20

I can also break out two older handhelds, and a Bearcat IV crystal scanner if need be.

Total of 5 owned.

Recently gave away 2 older ones. Pro-2096 and Pro-2052 at home. Also got a spare 2052 that I'll put in service when I get the hook-up for the antenna. A Pro-2035 in storage trying to figure out how to put it to good use. Took it out of service when I got the 2052. A Pro-96 for mobile and at work.

So, I'm usually LISTENING to the Pro-2096 and Pro-2052 when at home--both at once. Sometimes the Pro-96 gets in there when I want to listen to one talkgroup while still monitoring others. The 2052 is used mostly for monitoring ham, aircraft, the nearby rail operation, and some utilities. Occasionally monitor simulcasts with it. The Pro-96 gets listened to mobile and at work. Mobile I'm usually monitoring 2 meter or 440 mhz ham also.

In addition to scanners have a Drake R-8 with VHF converter, an ICOM IC-746 HF/VHF transceiver, a Kenwood TS-850S/AT HF transceiver, a Radio Shack HTX 202 2-meter HT, a Vertex VX-150 2-meter HT, a Kenwood TM-V7A in the shack, and a Kenwood TM-D700A mobile in the pickup. Running APRS at home and mobile. Also a Radio Shack HTX 242 2-meter mobile as a spare and a spare TM-V7A. I think that's it.

Depends on what's going on. The less going on, I turn another scanner on and broaden my listening range. I usually start out with just my HT1000 on. Then I turn one scanner on, then turn the state boy's MII system on, then add a few parishes around me on other scanners if the ones close aren't doing anything of interest. Max is usually about 4 scanners, and 3 two way radios.
