I have found out that with one scanner you do miss out on a lot. So many transmissions all at once sometimes.

Just 3. Radio Shack Pro-197, Uniden BC-780 XLT and Uniden BC-80 XLT. Both Unidens have been modded to get discriminator tap output for ATCS Monitor via RF.

This is a good exercise. I haven't used the old scanners for years. Let's see: Regency HX1000, PRO2005, BC3000XLT, BC245, BXD996T and BCD436HP. The 996 and 436 are in daily use. The ease of programming the older scanners makes them very valuable, and mainly use the 3000 for searching for new analog stations.

Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.80 (BREW; Opera Mini/6.0.3/27.2354; U; en) Presto/2.8.119 320X240 LG VN530)

1) PRO-2020 that is used for Phoenix FD VHF 1-15, Circle City/Morristown FD, Tonto Hills FD, Rural-Metro FD ch. 9, 123.025 helicopter common, and 123.550 Phoenix PD air support company channel.
2) PRO-43 that is currently unused, but has been used for various VHF/UHF analog FM channels, and a few VHF/UHF air band channels, as well as for monitoring the 6m-70cm Ham AM/FM simplex calling channels, the five 49 MHz walkie-talkie channels (I have a pair of 5-channel TRC-512 handhelds), MURS, and FRS/GMRS channels.
3) A GRE PSR-500 is my primary scanner, as many of my listening targets have gone digital.
I also have my Dad's Electra Bearcat 210, but it doesn't work. One of these days I want to see if I can get it fixed again, for sentimental reasons.
I used to have a Uniden BC-235XLT, but I lost it at some point. I may have set it down on the roof of my car as I was leaving a festival on the other side of the metro area, and didn't realize it was gone until I was halfway home :(

Four scanners on at the same time?!

I only have two. A BC125AT for the car and a BCD396XT at the house and when I'm portable. Loving the new digital scanner.

On the weekends I bring in the BC125AT to monitor analog and I have the BCD396XT monitoring digital. When they both come on at the same time, I can't keep it straight. lol.

How can some of you listen to all that traffic at once?! haha.

It's rare that I have all four scanners on at the same time. Unless a major event is on the horizon. Or happening "now". I will have another radio in the mix as soon as the BCD 436HP is available from the source from which I want to make the purchase. I should also add that all of my scanners serve a different purpose. So they're not all programmed exactly the same .

Mass-man,
I'd trade all of my scanners, except for the BC3000XLT, plus an IC-706 for a K3. I will be moving soon to 6 land where there aren't any digital signals, and since the QTH is at 4000 feet, it will be nice and quiet for HF DX.

well some light was shone upon me. last week i had 17 true scanner scanners. this week i have 19 !. with a small donation, i was able to acquire a bc246t, and was given a aor1000 <although rellay not a scanner scanner>, it scans. so i guess if i were to include my scanning communications receiver, and scanning portable vhf radio, i would have 21 scanners. and if i added my 3 scanning ham transceivers, it would be 24. i am a happy dude.
