Hi Guys,
I'm an absolute beginner in rail comms monitoring.
I'm in France and use a Live feed from Hamlet, NC.
The site is absolutely exciting but I do't know much about this aspect of the radio hobby.
I need the support of your veteran ears.
I made and edited thesetwo audio clips from the Hamlet NC feed.
One from Tue Feb19th 0200am EST
https://www.box.com/s/veltm8px4sx21o7vdtuq
One from same date 0630am EST
How many trains do you actually hear there, please ?
On the first one, I perceive Q697 and Q776 but there might be others (hard for me to make
the diff between substation folks, despatchers and on-board crews.
On the Second one, I positively ID PO92 , a passenger train, Miami to NYC.
Your help might train me ID by ear who's on the ground, and who's on the cars.
Many thanks
Pedro
