How much longer for RS stores that are closing

I have a Radio Shack store in my area that is closing.
Are there any Radio Shack insiders that have any idea when they will close their doors for good?
I have my eye on some stuff, but was hoping it would get cheaper on the FINAL FINAL clearance sale....

Area Radioshack Closing

One of the RadioShack's in my area says their final days are in July. Manager says discounts will increase as time passes. Two weeks ago everything was 10%. In June it should rise to 20 - 30%.

I've heard they will all be closed (the ones who are closing that is) by August. Some however will close earlier.
The last day will be store specific depending on the amount of sales/merchandise available.

BTW, for those interested, EVERYTHING must go, including shelves, displays, etc..

Today I received a 10% off coupon in the mail for the RS a few blocks away that is closing. This is in addition to the 30-50% discounts in the store already. The end result? RS's 800 MHz antenna for $10.70 plus tax, and the 6V 1000 mA DC adapter (works perfectly with my BCD396T) for $10.25 plus tax.

Too many RS in close proximity leads to closing. (Friend and customer is valued RS employee...)
Here in Central TX it's August 1.

I've expected this thread to be closed as "non-scanner-related" every day- but it hasn't happened so I may be be roo strict in my interpertation...

Radio Shack's Closing.

I know the two stores by my house (Portland, OR) are closing on June 11, 2006. Picked up a Pro-97 for around $117.00 after discounts, and my ten dollar off coupon.

The one right across the street from my house is closing. The closest one now is about a 20 minute drive...

I just got back from the closest store to me that was closing, and while it was a 35 mile drive each way, it was worth it. Like has been previously said, EVERYTHING must go, and when I got there, there wasn't much left. However, I did manage to get my brand new Pro-96 for $339 including tax. Not a bad mark-down, and definately worth a 70 mile round trip to save $160+ on a top quality scanner.

A local Radio Shack that is closing in the Toledo area now has an "8 days remaining" sign posted. All discounts from at least 40-60%. No good scanners left, but plenty of other random items. From talking with employees, it's actually looking more like 9 days left for that store due to the person who's coordinating the closing of another location first. Still picking up random parts and cables, my place is starting to look like a Radio Shack store.

greensboro nc stores are giving 40-60% one had the digital base $499 at 299.00 thats at the high point rd store,

gainesville,fl and ocala stores have no scanners(at least that is what they told me when i called)

havent checked the south ga stores in valdosta or albany will do tomorrow and post back
