Someone was cleaning up in the office the other day and found a scanner, plugged it in and the dang thing works. On the front it says Regency and it is an 8 channel, crystal controled scanner.

Any idea's on how this scanner must be :?:

could be 35 to 40 years. I know I bought a Regency in a black case with silver front, it was small and had 8 crystals around 1970. I had the city garage mount it in my city car in 1973.

Ooooooo. If you're looking to sell it. Look me up!

Buckskinner asked why? 2 reasons....

1. HISTORY! Having a working antique is amazing.

2. It frees up your other scanner for other fun things! I have a working Regency ACT R106 (10 channel, crystal controlled). I have all the NWS freqs in it. Its my weather radio. That way I don't tie up another scanner during a storm etc... Besides watching the leds chase each other is fun. Almost as fun as a six-pack and a bug zapper!

I suspect if we dug it out and are using it now it will not go on sale for as long as it works.
