I've just upgraded to a newer version of SDR Sharp and it seems like the method of manually adding plugins like the CTCSS decoder is different. There is now an XML file which I can no longer edit. Where do I edit now? Sorry, not the most literate when it comes to manually changing code.

You can edit plugins.xml with your favorite editor.
But, you can only do that while SDR# is not running.

Normally, in the 'Readme.txt' file, for the plugin, there is the 'magic line' that needs to be copied to your Plugins.xml file

Look for the folder SDR open that

Make sure you have download the plugins here is the site
SDR# | Software Defined Radio in C#
RTL-SDR

When you download what plugins you want it will be a zip file. Open the folder and should 2 files one for txt file the other is dll.

In the sdr folder you should see sharp exe and other files. If you see that look for plugins xml (Right hand click and click Edit) it should allow you to add texts. The files you download open the txt file copy all of it than go to the DSR folder > plugins paste that in that section than transfer the dll file over to the main dsr folder.

Here is the CTCSS file you need to dowload. http://www.rtl-sdr.ru/page/ctcss-detektor-shumopodavitel
