If you're running Windows 7, make sure you have Administrator privileges set. Right click the GRECOM EZ
Scan icon and click "Run as Administrator"

Plug your cable into the USB port on your computer and then to the PSR 800. Follow the EZ Scan Software instructions. You may have to click on Update a few times before it works.

Hope this helps.

I am running Windows Vista on a laptop. I did run the software with Administrator Privileges and Im still getting the same thing. I know the cable is not messed up as it powers the scanner without any issues.

I updated the software itself, but still getting the same message. I cant find any settings to change on the scanner, software or computer that would help.

Thanks for the info though! Ill keep trying....
