I've done that on other gear. Clean with plain isopropanol (pure rubbing alcohol) and paper towels to get finger oils and crud off. Then either re-assemble, or put a touch of silicon grease on the contacts.
Sometimes this works, other times the keypad is simply shot and if you can order a replacement? That may be a much better solution.
