I want to avoid contact with other rail workers, due to this virus, so don't want to go into the signal box to pick up an official radio, I know the frequency so can listen OK, and under normal circumstances if I needed to transmit I would use the railways radios, but not normal circumstances, and it would be added safety if I could transmit to the repeater rather than hope my mobile phone is within range, it is my intention to oil and grease points which I can do without being with anyone else, but would be better if I have some warning when there is a train on the track.
So is there a way to find the tone used, I would only use if mobile fails, but nice second string should phone fail.
