Is it possible to listen to CB frequencies on the 436HP as well as store them as favorite's list? I am new to the digital arena and this scanner is a monster to learn compared to my analog days.

Uniden BCD436HP Frequency Coverage

According to this, yes it does. One thing to think about is that you'll need a better antenna if you want to hear anything more than a hundred yards away. The OEM rubber duck just ain't gonna cut it on 27 MHz. And an antenna resonant on 11M isn't going to work very well on VHF-Hi thru the top end of the radio's coverage.

Absolutely-

Attached is a zipped file, which extracts to an HPE file. You can open Sentinel and import the HPE as a CB Radio Favorites List.

After importing, edit the applicable Profile and confirm both Monitor and Download are set to On and that you have enabled the "Other" Service Type. You also may wish to assign a Favorites List Quick Key.

Then do a write to scanner and you'll be in business.

This way, you are learning how to import a Favorites List created by someone else, a good thing to know.

Alternatively, you can create a FL yourself. Open Sentinel and expan the states and then counties List. Since CB is nationwide you can go to the very first - Alabama and Autauga county. Expand the Nationwide, highlight Citizen's Band and right click to Append Favorites List. Either add it to an existing Favorites List or create a new FL just for CB.

You'll still need to do that work in editing the Profile for Monitor and Download On.
