One thing that are missing in Uniden scanners are to have your Sentinel profiles in the scanner that you can select. Then you can download all favorite lists to the scanner and then select the profile you would like to use and it would only select those favorite lists to scan that you have stored to that profile. You can then quickly change the setup from home mode to vehicle mode, or one area config to another area or from scan mode to search mode to find new channels but quickly revert back to scan using another profile.

Startup keys are some help but profile selecting would be more efficient and would be a copy of what Sentinel are using.

I made that point before Sentinel came out. I was told that is the way it was intended to operate.

That's how I operate my ws-1040 and Pro-621 scanners. I have several "virtual scanners" available via menu that I can load depending on where I am traveling. I have a home profile, one for WV, another one for the Outer Banks, one for Durham etc. I can load them as I travel. Of course, having the whole RR database is awesome especially if I don't have access to a computer, and being able to travel by vehicle using the GPS is great as well. Both have their merits

I didn't think of that. Could be a patent type thing, whereas having the full RR database might be a Uniden patent thing. Good catch
