It's not a NEW channel. All of the channels are programmed.

It's on an individual radio's UID.
Perhaps you could create a new group called UIDs. Then add new channels just like TGID channels except prepend an "i to the TGID by hitting the .No button

Enter ".no" followed by radio id. The display will say Input TGID, ignore that.

The scanner will treat it as another channel. Navigate to that channel, and edit the alpha tag.
This works on my XT and P2 radios.

Thanks.

For over 1000 uid's this ought to take about a year. :ROFLMAO:
Or a few minutes with ProScan using the Find & Replace utility.

Basic steps are:
1. Download from scanner to ProScan
2. Create a new group called UIDs or whatever you want it named (optional)
3. Copy & Paste the TGIDS from an existing group to the new group (optional)
4. Use the Find & Replace utility with the settings in the image below
5. Upload to the scanner
