How to put freqency on hold

Say i want to put a freqency on hold to listen to what i call one channel.How do you go about doing that

You didn't say what model radio, but most GRE radios have a "PAUSE" (PSE) key. Just press it when the freq is active and it will hold there until you press it again.

You can also use the MAN key (if available on that radio)
