How to save ARC 500 file?

How do I save an ARC 500 file so I can send it to somebody to open it? Do I need to convert to some specific file etc..?

Click on "File", then "Save as...". A window will open. Name the file and click "Save". Remember where you saved the file and then attach it to an email and send it to your friend.

Depending on the email client I would 'zip' the ARC500 file first else the receiver may have trouble opening the file.
