How can I select one specific system or channel in a group?

I want to just listen to one channel at a time, so how can I jump between them?

right now, I have the

system (Boca Raton PD)
group (boca raton)
channel (like 10 channels. I want to just pick 1 channel which is PD1)

and I have another system (palm beach sheriff) and I have bunch of channels on that, and I want to just be able to choose 7A on there)

how can I do this?

the only way I can think of it now is let it scan, and when it gets to that channel, press hold... and if I miss, i gotta do it again. (this sounds overly stupid to get to one channel)

please help me out

"Lock Out" the ones you don't want to hear? Then it should scan back-and-forth on just those two. Then if you miss your "Hold" you will be just one "Manual" key press from home.

Good Luck,

Yea... this was one of the problems with the x96"T" models. So MANY channels, but no way to go directly to them. This is why the XT series has the direct channel access progamming (also kept it up with the GRE which already had direct channel access). If your system do not have a whole lot of channels within them, there is a shortcut that will help. While in function mode, you can manually scroll through your systems very easily, so just scroll to your desired system, come out of function mode, then scroll to your desired channel. Here's what I would do...

- Stop scanning (HOLD).
- While holding the side FUNCtion key, scroll to the system I wanted.
- Let go of the FUNCtion key, then scroll to the channel I wanted.

You can hit Hold while it scans the trunked system you want to hear a TG on. The 396T will display the control channel on the second line and the system name on the first line. Enter the TGID (ex. 22503) and then hit Hold again and it'll tune to that specific TG.
