The first thing repeater operators say is to "set the talk permit on your radio". There is some handshake that goes on, in making a DMR call. Until you are permitted, you can't transmit. There is a "talk permit" setting on my handheld radios, so I set it and am good to go.
But I have a new RadioDDITY mobile unit (DB-25D), that doesn't appear to have a "talk permit" setting. Maybe it's called something else. But when I key up, it transmits. period. I'd like to set it so that it's well behaved. Is there a "talk permit" setting for the DB-25D, or a way of making it work like there is?
Thanks,
