how to use cord with win 97

I am wanting to put win 97 on my lap top so when i travel i can just update info while on the go. however i am wanting use the new radio shack usb programming cord 20-047 do i just need extend the write time or how do i work the new cable ?

You should not need to extend the write time, if you get a write/ read error then you may need to. I did not need to myself going from the 20-289 to the 20-047 USB however I did have to change configuration to com 4 from com 1.

I have both on my laptop and all settings are the same except the com port as Bucko stated above.

ok thanks the laptop i have has no serial ports i'm just glad its fixable in starrsoft to use it
