howard co fire dispatch PL

i just programmed howard county fire dispatch into a portable radio with the pl on the rx side as well (to eliminate bleedover) and when i monitor that channel, nothing is picked up. When i toggle the carrier squelch, i start picking up transmissions. Is the PL listed in the database incorrect?

That would be my first guess... unless your programming was wrong.
Do you have a scanner that you can use to search for PL/DPL tones, I would start with that.

Sorry I'm to far away... there is a guy that has a feed on here, not sure if he can monitor those frequencies or not.

There should be a lot more of those coming because of narrowbanding.
I know my County has been discussing it, but some radios can't do narrow and FD's can't afford new ones.
