Hey y'all

Just caught a piece of Traffic (Actually still catching it) Dispatcher talking from or to a unit in Little Rock. Scratchy but very audible. from the looks of your database this might be G&F

151.3400 225.7 PL

Your database shows this frequency but without a callsign or tone info. It's quite active here, 70 miles north of Dallas, TX tonight if you guys want to ID it better for your records.

Any clues from what was being said to also make you think it was G&F or just based on the db? Just curious. G&F does talk to Little Rock from anywhere in the state, I believe. For example, a wildlife officers might say "280 Mountain View, Little Rock" when 280 is calling dispatch - he's on the Mountain View tower calling dispatch (LR). Was it something like that (probably not Mountain View, though, of course)?

For the most part yes, that was about it. Then there was "unit calling LR repeat your traffic" I want to say it was a 200 designator but couldn't hear the mobile very well, just the LR dispatcher. it was a solid 151.3400 PL: 225.7 and after browsing your DB I saw some G&F 225.7 tones and one lone 151.3400 freq with no tone or call sign. so I guessed it might have been G&F.

Anyways it was cool to hear in North Texas. On RARE occasion I hear (or used to hear) Hot Springs on 154.7250 Our Sheriff's office primary channel.

Thanks

You're right, it does sound like G&F traffic based on what you've said. That'd be my guess. Nice catch!

OK when I get a lil spare tinme, I will do some FCC listing searches and see where all the G&F rptr's are that we have not listed, and see what I can set up for the db... May just have to set up a listing like we did for MHP's low band rptr net.. snlge freq, with multiple tones in use and various for FCC callsign if its a lot of them.. Until we know each and every district's set up etc... Of course my luck will be that they all out quit using VHF and go all AWIN by the time I get it done lol.

They're supposed to be using AWIN in NEA but I never hear them on it and I'm not sure what the Jonesboro Frequency is, 151.175 I think..

I know in Central AR they were running both VHF and AWIN while I lived there. Hot Springs area they had 2 VHF and the AWIN, and also interopping on MAC's a couple of times with ASP, AHP, and GCSO.

Batesville area I've heard them in AWIN and the VHF both. I think if they can't get them on the VHF they try the AWIN is what it sounded like. Seems like the times I've heard it, the conversation usually begins "Little Rock, can you copy me on this?" lol
