More often than not I leave my Home Patrol-1 in Trunked Discovery mode in order to document new (or little-used) talkgroups and user IDs on Illinois' Starcom21 system. Once in a while I happen to be near the radio when it comes across a directed net or conversation and I wish I could put the HP-1 in a manual 'hold' mode on that talkgroup until the traffic is complete so I don't miss any traffic or UIDs should the radio go back into Discovery search/scan. While increasing the hold time setting could help in this situation, it would be nice to have the same manual hold feature that is available during normal scanning (i.e. tap on the discovery box to hold on the active talkgroup until you tap on it again to resume the Discovery search/scan).
Any chance of getting a Discovery 'manual hold' feature added to the next firmware revision, Paul?
