HP-1: HP-1 Power Issue

I recently acquired used in excellent condition HP-1.Powers up and immediately shuts off in about 2 seconds.Cleared the user data in sentinel and reformatted the SD card and still doing the same.Anyone with any other ideas?Thanks

Could you upload & link here a video to YouTube? Majority of the time it's an SD card error and nay need to be replaced.

If you take out the SD card and put the batteries back in and start up the scanner without the card, does the start-up behavior change? Do you get an SD card error on the screen instead of the scanner just shutting off?
